What do we see in this poster?

This photography poster “Sunset in Junam Water Reservoir” by Korean photographer Young Han Song shows the region of the same name in South Korea shortly after sunset. The water reservoir is located near the city of Changwon and is famous for its scenery and the variety of animal species that can be admired there. Changwon itself is located in the extreme south of Korea and is a neighboring city to the metropolis of Busan. The lighting conditions of the mural allow us to see the natural beauty of the Korean landscape. We can see the mountains forming the horizon at ever greater distances. The lower half of the work of art is shaped by the actual reservoir. The surrounding landscape is reflected in it and creates a slightly blurry parallel world. The main focus of the mural, however, is the almost circular flock of birds that flies over the mirror-smooth lake and can also be seen in the reflections. Behind the mountains we can still see the last rays of the sun illuminating the autumn sky and creating a fantastic color transition from orange, through white, to the beginning of the dark blue of the evening sky.
